See Your Dogs’ Every Move The Astro system includes the Astro 320 handheld and the rugged DC™ 50 transmitter collar¹ with an orange polyurethane strap (accessory color straps sold separately). DC 50 features top mounted GPS and GLONASS receivers and a newly-redesigned steel VHF antenna. Switching to rescue mode reduces the refresh rate in order to preserve battery life, giving you more time to look for a lost dog. Plus, Collar Lock creates a 4-digit PIN number that helps prevent others from seeing your dog’s whereabouts — a useful feature in field trials to ensure that an Astro is used only as a recovery tool when a dog in competition becomes lost. Bark Detection lets you know your dog is barking even if it’s out of audible range, a crucial feature for treeing hounds or running hounds that cover a lot of ground, even in heavy cover.

Improvements to the Astro The intuitive and easy-to-use Astro system takes dog tracking to an entirely new level with new software for the 320 which supports the DC 50 dog device and adds new features, such as bark detection. The interface streamlines what is displayed by allowing dogs that are outside the current zoom level to have their location notated in the display’s margin. You can also choose the amount of each dog’s tracklog displayed, or toggle it off completely, to avoid cluttering the map. The Astro 320, compatible with any DC-series transmitter, also has enhanced map drawing capabilities, BirdsEye Satellite Imagery compatibility (subscription required), vibration-based alerts and a 3-axis electronic compass. Both durable and water resistant, the Astro 320 system features the legendary toughness that’s built to withstand the elements, whether it’s dust, dirt, humidity or water. And your 320 is compatible with every DC series dog collar. The DC 50 is our only dog device with remote bark detection and improved battery life (including battery preserving rescue mode). The improved battery life means when you set your update rate to every 5 seconds the battery lasts 26 hours. In rescue mode, the battery lasts 54 hours, giving you more time to find your lost dog.

Track Your Dogs:
Measure each dog’s speed, distance and the direction being traveled. Or, choose tracking only with the new T 5 dog device. For competitions that don’t allow stimulation, tone or vibe, the compatible T 5 tracking device is an excellent alternative.
Train and Control:
Alpha 100 helps you train and control your dogs to stop chasing unwanted game. Easy to access training buttons allow you to communicate separately to each dog through safe and effective features, including 18 levels of momentary and 18 levels of continuous stimulation or an audible tone or vibe command. Plus, a lockout setting is available to avoid accidental stimulation or tone.
Select from 2 stimulation modes to customize your training even further. Traditional stimulation allows you to make quick changes (low, medium and high) within a predetermined stimulation level (1 through 6), whereas linear stimulation allows progressively more stimulation from level 1 through level 18.

Johnson's Telemetry, the premier source for dog tracking systems and supplies was founded by Roger Johnson in 1984 in Reinbeck, Iowa. Roger had a coon hound that would get deep and get on the tree fast... but faster than Roger and his mule, or pickup could keep up with. This would result in him driving around or riding for extra hours trying to locate his prize hound. Out of pure frustration, Roger decided enough was enough and set out to design a product that he could mount on his hound that allowed him to track his dog no matter the hunting condition's or terrain.
After several trial and errors the "D" cell collar was established, working like a charm, no matter the condition with a run time of 16,000 hours. Roger was satisfied with his new invention, until he traveled west in search of big game with some of his friends. While hunting out west, another need arose due to the more challenging terrain; this prompted Roger to develop a Tree Switch to indicate that his hound on a tree. With the tree switch he was able to track the hound or pack of hounds regardless of the wind or terrain and the new device kept him from walking in too early, which also helped save him a step and travel distance.
Shortly after the making of the first recovery collar, Roger realized other sizes were needed. Not all of his hounds were big enough to carry the "D" collar. The "C" 8,000 hour collar, more suited for his Walker Fox Hounds in pursuit of fox and coyotes, was developed along with a Standard Light for beagles and Ultra light to accommodate the smaller more petite hounds.
Since the humble beginnings of Johnson's Telemetry back in Iowa, some things have changed, but many have not. The main office is now located just outside of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and the recovery and tracking collars are still 100% Made in America - designed AND tested by real outdoors man and hunters, just like you!
As with most products, customers have requested more and Johnson's Telemetry has answered the challenge with advanced technology that provides the hunters the range and tracking they desire. We now have the Extended Range 5,000 and 10,000 hour collars with or without a tree switch; along with screw on e-collar plates to attach your Johnson transmitter to your Garmin Pro series training collars or Sportdog Training systems. We also offer a feature that allows you to mount a Johnson tracking collar to a Garmin TT15, TT10, T5, DC40 or DC50. Just ask for the GPS conversion plate on your incoming repairs or on your custom new build collar of any size. Take into consideration your hounds neck circumference when ordering your collars.

The F&L Electronics MNS-4000 Receiver is a lightweight easy to use receiver with uncompromising sensitivity and powerful performance. The moment you look at the unit you notice that it is straightforward and the face is free of excess switches and knobs.
MNS is a series of receivers Manufactured by F&L Electronics. The number following MNS is the frequency range in Kilohertz that the receiver covers. MNS 4000 covers 400 channels that each span 10 KHz for a total of 4000 KHz coverage. Channels are 600 through 999, each channel and tune representing a frequency directly.
